In practice, Dr Jade has seen, first hand, the immense impact chiropractic can have on families health and overall wellness. When asked, she will tell you, her favorite part is when a new mom comes back in looking well rested and feeling like a human person again because baby has finally slept, or pooped, or stayed calm since their visit. Or, when one of the kiddos has gotten no letters sent home from their teacher because they’ve been able to sit calmly, pay attention and concentrate. Or, when a pregnant momma is breezing through that last trimester with little or no pain because her body is well balanced and neurologically sound. It’s then that she knows she’s done her job, and removed the interference from their bodies so they can thrive.
When you visit, you are most likely to see Dr Jade (in her t-shirts and funky sneakers) crawling on the floor and playing with one of the kiddos, snuggling one of the babies, or caring for one of the mommas.
Dr. Jade’s life was wholly influenced by her grandfather, who was also a chiropractor. From him, she learned to rely on her body’s innate ability to heal itself, without pharmaceutical intervention. Instead, he ingrained in her, to arm her body with all the tools it needs to allow it to work in its highest capacity. He taught her, the most important of those tools is a chiropractic adjustment, to remove interference and keep the power-house that is the nervous system clear and communicating with her entire body.
When Dr. Jade graduated from Gulf Coast State College with her Associates in Liberal Arts, she had her eyes set on a nursing degree, knowing in her heart that she was meant to help others heal. But, she very quickly realized nursing was not the path meant for her because it did not align with her core beliefs. It instead relied heavily on managing symptoms, often times using pharmaceuticals, before focusing on the source of those symptoms. An opportunity arose to work with United States Veterans, managing the Veterans Choice program, with TriWest Healthcare Alliance. Dr. Jade’s heart was called to help. This was at a time when our nation was struggling to care for these men and women who had cared for, and sacrificed for us. After two years, her heart knew it was time to move forward, and to do more. Acknowledging her roots, she re-focused on her foundation of knowing the power within the human body is capable of healing itself when interference is removed. It was then she decided to follow in her grandfather‘s footsteps.
Dr. Jade earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Cleveland University Kansas City. During her studies, she grew passionate for working with pregnant mommas and their babies and children. What a better way to make an impact in the life of a person, than to start at the beginning? She is a trained Dona International doula. She earned certification in Webster Technique, a specific technique to treat the pregnant pelvis and spine which allows for proper prenatal biomechanics, giving room for growing baby, and restoring proper function to the ever changing body of the momma. She also earned Activator Method certification, the only instrument adjusting technique with clinical trials to support its efficacy. Additionally, she is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
Dr Jade invites you to join us at Pure Chiropractic to take the first step in your family’s journey to restoring your bodies to wholeness. She can’t wait to meet each and every one of you!
